Sweet baby
April 21, 2011
It was cold and rainy outside but we were all dry and cozy inside for this sweet newborn shoot. This little guy decided to come a few weeks early but he is healthy and doing great!!!!! My good buddy Elizabeth Chapman of Elizabeth Chapman Photography came over for this shoot to help me and to be an extra set of hands! Thanks D-Dog! Here are just a few photos from the shoot.

Everyone needs a cool friend
April 15, 2011
Everyone needs to have a cool friend when they are little. This beautiful lady was mine. She taught me how to play Nintendo and how to do the Electric Slide to Vanilla Ice’s song “Ice Ice Baby.” Now we are grown up and she is still one of my cool friends. But now I think she is cool because she loves Jesus, she loves others and she looks for ways to serve people. And….. I bet she can still do a pretty incredible Electric Slide. :) I adore her family and her kids are some of the best behaved children that I have ever been around!!!!

I love this next one! It makes me laugh!

Then we had to put a little Disney Magic into the photos! With Mickey Mouse, a pirate who is as good looking as Johnny Depp and a princess who would melt any prince’s heart.
Of course we needed some photos of a mom and her sweet babies.

And a daddy with his little girl!

As I’m taking photos of mom and dad, I turn around to see what the kids are doing and they were just chillin’ – too funny!

They’re getting married
April 14, 2011
Wedding season is around the corner and simply I can’t wait! I love photographing weddings and I love engagement shoots! This couple looked so stunning for their engagement portraits – I can’t wait to see how absolutely gorgeous (and handsome) they will look on their wedding day! Thanks for a fun evening guys and for putting up with me wanting to take “just one more photo.” :)
She is turning 2!
April 6, 2011
I remember writing about this little sweetheart when she turned 1! A year has already passed and this little girl just keeps getting cuter and cuter! We had such a wonderful time taking photos of her and her beautiful family. Even though there was an extreme wind advisory, we ventured outside and got some fun shots! I’m not sure how much the adults (me included) enjoyed the extreme winds (my hair still has knots in it) but I think this 2 years old thought the wind was really fun!
And of course, we had to go running in the field to play in the wind!!!!!
Baby Elf
April 2, 2011
I was lucky enough to do Elizabeth and Joe’s engagement photos and wedding photos a couple years ago and now they are expecting their first baby!!!! They don’t know if their baby is a boy or girl so they have decided to call their baby “Elf” for now. (which I just love!) And I must say, they both look like models! Elizabeth is such a beautiful, mmmmm… no, let me correct myself… Elizabeth is such an amazingly gorgeous and stunning pregnant lady! Wow! I love you guys and am praying for sweet baby Elf. Can’t wait to meet him/her!
Can you get any cuter?
April 2, 2011
We went down to KY last weekend to visit my hubby’s best friend for his birthday! And I couldn’t wait to snap some photos of his sweet little girl! Oh my goodness…. She is so precious. She wasn’t quite sure what to think of me and my big, black camera but I love the way she just stared into my lens. Her looks make me smile and I’m already missing her. Oh, and you should see this girl eat pancakes – it’s amazing!
And did I mention she has the CUTEST glasses in the world???? Oh my goodness…. She makes my heart melt.
Swedish Fish. Yum.
March 29, 2011
So, my title has nothing at all to do with my blog other than the fact that I’m eating some amazing Swedish Fish as I type these words. :) Random, I know… But it is spring break and I feel like getting a little “crazy.” Spring Break ’11 – Woot Woot! So, there…
But now to get to this blog post. This handsome guy is graduating this year and I was lucky enough to take his senior portraits. He was soooooooo sweet and dealt with my craziness as his photographer like a champ! I even asked him if I could call him “Steve-o” at one point and he just smiled and laughed. Enjoy the pics.
Alli K.
March 23, 2011
So, I’ve known Alli since she was in middle school. I had such a fun time coaching this girl in volleyball (you should watch this girl block at the net! Uh-mazing!) I am so lucky to have seen her grow up over the last few years into a beautiful, young lady. The week before our photo session, I teased Alli and told her that she needed to watch some episodes of America’s Next Top Model to get ready and prepared for our shoot. But as I started taking photos of her, I realized this girl needed no help or tips from Tyra on how to look gorgeous for her Senior Photos. There are hundreds of more photos that I wish I could post, but I’ll stick to these few. Alli, I love ya tons. Thanks for hanging out with me last Saturday. It was so fun! You are beautiful.
I love the simplistic beauty of this photo.
We had to throw her boyfriend in a few photos!
And of course, we needed one with her amazing mom!
Alli’s boyfriend noticed the date on the building – it is the year that Alli was born… and unfortunately (showing my age) it is also the year that I started high school.
A blustery day
March 15, 2011
“Oh, then I think I shall wish everyone a happy ‘Winds Day’, and I shall begin with–my very dear friend…Piglet!” That’s a quote from Winnie The Pooh and the Blustery Day. I kept thinking about “Winds Day” as I photographed this high school senior. It was soooooooooo windy. We did some photos next to an old barn and there were a few times that I wondered if the barn was going to blow over on us. But in spite of the wind, Moriah did a great job with her photos. We had a fun afternoon together. I just kept telling her to “work it” and she would just laugh at me. But, hey, laughter makes for good photos.
