An Airplane Proposal

May 25, 2011

I met Ben and Emily a few months ago at Starbucks to discuss their upcoming wedding in October.  Instantly they both made me feel like I had been their friend for years!  We laughed and chatted over coffee and Ben excitedly told me about how he proposed!  He did it on an airplane!  How cool is that!!!!!  The other passengers awaited Emily’s answer and of course she said, “YES!”  I thought that story was so unique that I searched my house for an airplane puzzle piece to use in a photo.  Of course puzzle pieces are never where they are supposed to be when you have 3 kids but I eventually found it!  We decided to head to Fountain Square to start off their engagement session because they will be getting married at the beautiful Emmaus Lutheran Church in Fountain Square.  It is going to be soooooo pretty!  I can’t wait.  We hit some other parts of downtown Indy before calling it a night.  Thanks for a fun few hours, guys!  I can’t wait for your big day in October!  It’s going to be a blast!

A much warmer day

April 28, 2011

So, this past winter I did an engagement session for this couple and it was sooooo cold!  Despite the weather, the photos turned out really fun – there was pretty snow falling and we were up at the art museum…  but…  it was soooooo cold.  Did I say that already?  🙂  So, I suggested we cut our session short and meet back up again in the spring!  What a fun time I had doing part 2 of Jessica and Chris’s engagement session.  And their little girl had a little bit more fun with me this time, too.  It is easier to smile when your teeth aren’t chattering.  🙂  I adore this family and can not wait to photograph their wedding this summer!

This little gal also got a yummy cupcake from the Flying Cupcake!  Yum!!!!!!

I love this next photo because she was just twirling and twirling in the sunshine.  Ahhhh, to be a kid again!
Then we had to take some photos of mommy and daughter admiring each other rings!  🙂

The End

They’re getting married

April 14, 2011

Wedding season is around the corner and simply I can’t wait!  I love photographing weddings and I love engagement shoots!  This couple looked so stunning for their engagement portraits – I can’t wait to see how absolutely gorgeous (and handsome) they will look on their wedding day!  Thanks for a fun evening guys and for putting up with me wanting to take “just one more photo.”  🙂

So a few months ago, I edited these photos and I teased Kaleigh by saying “Um… Hello, Supermodel!”  And I’m going to say it again – this time a little louder (notice my all caps).  “UM….  HELLO SUPERMODEL!”  Can you only imagine how absolutely gorgeous this girl is going to be on her wedding day?!?!?!  And I get the honor of taking their wedding photos.  I know…  you’re jealous.  Sorry.  🙂  And yes, Wiley, isn’t too bad himself either.  They are quite the striking couple and if you can’t tell from their photos, they are so much in love and very fun!  It was extremely freezing the day we did their session but I think it paid off because the snow was oh so pretty.  After completing the “snowy” photos, we headed downtown for some city pics.  These are some of my favorites from the day – especially the ones in front of the restaurant Yats (yum)!  Thanks guys for a fun afternoon and giving me the honor of photographing your upcoming wedding!  Can’t wait!

I was running behind them when I took this last photo – so it came out a little blurry but I still like it for some reason.  It sort of reminds me of an album/CD cover or something…

Jill and Austin

June 13, 2010

So, Jill is one of my closest friends.  I often say she is like my little sister.  She is getting married in October to an amazing man, Austin.  Words can not express how excited I am for their marriage and I can not wait to see what the Lord has in store for them. It is so neat to see God’s handy-work in their relationship and how He is making them both better people by putting them together as a couple.  We already did a winter engagement session (some of those pics are on my website) and we just did their summer engagement session the other evening!  I love it when I photograph my friends because I feel more comfortable to take the time to wander around and scope out new places.  I think we found some pretty fun spots!  Enjoy!

If laughter is the best medicine then I am going to be healthy for years.  :o)  I laughed so hard while doing Kristen and Andy’s engagement photos.  What a fun couple!  Oh my goodness!  I can not wait to photograph their wedding.  I can only imagine how much fun it will be!  So, thank you to Kristen and Andy for making me smile and laugh for a few hours, I hope you enjoy your photos.  See you in October at your wedding!

What a day!  The sun was shining and it was semi warm!  I had the pleasure of taking Craig and Brianne’s engagement photos.  WHAT A CUTE COUPLE!  They are absolutely beautiful together and we had so much fun running around downtown Indy.  Here are some of my favorites!

Brianne, you are beautiful!

So cute together

I just loved this building as a backdrop - fun colors!

She has the best laugh!

Sweetness and love

I loved how the sun was hitting their hair!

Dancing photos = great laughs and smiles

Thank you, sun!

We had to wait a while for the traffic to clear - they did great!

I asked them to kiss a lot. I don't think they minded. :o)

Yep, more kisses

I love how he nuzzled into her neck and the pure joy on her face.

Of course, I had to shoot in my favorite alley!

One last kiss!

They are so stunning

The end. Congrats, Brianne and Craig! May God bless your marriage together! Have fun! I know you will!
