Well, Stephen is graduating and my family is both happy and sad about this fact.  We are happy and excited to see what the Lord has in store for his life after high school.  But we are going to miss him at GCA and my husband will greatly miss having him on the basketball team.  Stephen is a guy of  great character and respect that loves his family and the Lord.  I had a blast taking his senior portraits and enjoyed getting to be around his witty humor.  He had me laughing almost the whole time.  And you can tell from the first photo, the camera likes him, too.  🙂

Swedish Fish. Yum.

March 29, 2011

So, my title has nothing at all to do with my blog other than the fact that I’m eating some amazing Swedish Fish as I type these words.  🙂  Random, I know… But it is spring break and I feel like getting a little “crazy.”  Spring Break ’11 – Woot Woot!  So, there…

But now to get to this blog post.  This handsome guy is graduating this year and I was lucky enough to take his senior portraits.  He was soooooooo sweet and dealt with my craziness as his photographer like a champ!  I even asked him if I could call him “Steve-o” at one point and he just smiled and laughed.  Enjoy the pics.

Alli K.

March 23, 2011

So, I’ve known Alli since she was in middle school.  I had such a fun time coaching this girl in volleyball (you should watch this girl block at the net!  Uh-mazing!)  I am so lucky to have seen her grow up over the last few years into a beautiful, young lady.  The week before our photo session, I teased Alli and told her that she needed to watch some episodes of America’s Next Top Model to get ready and prepared for our shoot.  But as I started taking photos of her, I realized this girl needed no help or tips from Tyra on how to look gorgeous for her Senior Photos.   There are hundreds of more photos that I wish I could post, but I’ll stick to these few.  Alli, I love ya tons.  Thanks for hanging out with me last Saturday.  It was so fun!  You are beautiful.

I love the simplistic beauty of this photo.

We had to throw her boyfriend in a few photos!

And of course, we needed one with her amazing mom!

Alli’s boyfriend noticed the date on the building – it is the year that Alli was born… and unfortunately (showing my age) it is also the year that I started high school.

A blustery day

March 15, 2011

“Oh, then I think I shall wish everyone a happy ‘Winds Day’, and I shall begin with–my very dear friend…Piglet!”  That’s a quote from Winnie The Pooh and the Blustery Day.  I kept thinking about “Winds Day” as I photographed this high school senior.  It was soooooooooo windy.  We did some photos next to an old barn and there were a few times that I wondered if the barn was going to blow over on us.  But in spite of the wind, Moriah did a great job with her photos.  We had a fun afternoon together.  I just kept telling her to “work it” and she would just laugh at me.  But, hey, laughter makes for good photos.

So, this is Joseph.  Joseph is awesome.  Joseph is from Korea but has been a student at Greenwood Christian Academy (where my hubby teaches) for years.  I was so thankful that the rain held off long enough for us to finish his senior photo session.  I think we got some fun shots – you’ll be able to see that he is one cool guy – he just has “that cool look”.   Thanks for a fun afternoon, Joseph.  I hope you enjoy your photos and congrats on graduating!

A Lovely Louisville Lady

April 26, 2010

It was a bright and sunny Saturday with just enough wind to keep things interesting.  I had a blast taking Tabby’s senior photos and was so honored that she and her parents drove all the way from Louisville, KY for the photo session.  Tabby is so beautiful and now I officially want to get a perm so that my hair can be curly like hers.  Of course, her hair is naturally curly and we all know that a perm is never as good as what God does naturally.  So, for now, I’ll just look at her pictures and be jealous (but jealous in a good way).  :o)
